Aluminium alloys in all variations
A particular feature at Grohmann is the large number of aluminium alloys used in our foundry. Our experienced casting technicians mix the right alloy for every conceivable application in an extremely wide range of industries.
To cite just a few examples: a special heat-resisting alloy is used in hazardous areas, such as road tunnels. The corrosion-resistant AlMg alloy is ideal for pumps and parts that come into contact with sea water – ship's engines, for instance. AlMg alloys that can be anodised to add colour enable aesthetic applications for decorative purposes.
We mould safety parts subject to high stress from high-strength AlCuTi alloys – these can also replace ferrous materials. We use self-hardening alloys for large structural parts. We make parts that come under stress, such as crankcases and pumps, from wear-resistant aluminium alloys.
We concentrate our know-how on all things alloy at our sites in Bisingen and Hirrlingen. Whatever your aluminium part is intended to do, we will mix the right material for it.
